| the right of different groups of people to receive the same treatment. |
Like everyone, you say you want equality. Take a second to read that definition again and be sure you understand exactly what it says. Look it up in your own dictionary if you don't trust the definition I've provided. Is it still what you want? On many occasions I have been accused of being biased, insensitive, mean, and once I was called a bastard. The part my accusers seem to miss is not obvious to everyone, especially when they’ve been angered by something I’ve said, but it’s something that should not be overlooked. These accusations and insults have not come from a single group of people. Were this the case I would, and should, be considered unfair and biased and maybe even a bastard. The truth of it all is that I am one of the few people who does treat everyone equal. I don’t pull punches or take it easy on someone based on their sex, race, religion, sexual preference, or disability. In my world everyone is fair game. In fact, in my world it is the right of different groups of people to receive the same treatment. Hmm... that sounds familiar. Maybe equality wasn’t what you were looking for after all. |
