The Beginning
This project began when a teacher told me that she would like her students, and more importantly their parents, to be able to get their homework assigments online. A few days later they could.

Currently
Teachers can log in and edit their homework list, personal bio information, blackboard area and add links to their page while anyone else can view what the teacher posts. All editing/posting is done through an extremely simple process and requires minimal computer skill. If you're able to get to and read this website you have the skill level needed to use the teacher section.

A group of elementary school teachers used the system during the last few months of the 2002-03 school year with excellent results. In addition, the students, parents, and office staff benefited from its use.

Where We're Going
I intend to keep adding features to this project to make it more useful and valuable to everyone involved. Costs will be low and teachers will be able to use this website independent of their school system. Links to websites designed to help kids with their homework will be added.

The exciting part about developing this project is that as people begin to use it they'll undoubtedly have good ideas to be incorporated for everyone to use. If you have questions, comments, or ideas email them to jon@centralridge.com.
