Welcome to our delayed issue of the Spurian Spectator! For all 2 of my concerned fans, yes I did find my marbles, in fact I don't think they are even mine...Any matter, I'm back and here is another issue! Assistant-Ed Karma Freeze is currently on vacation. I'd like to thank all of the reporters for their work in the Spectator and the news they report, Blister's Buzz wouldn't be there without them.

Letters to the Editor

I have to say that after reading the New DFC, I think it is missing something and the Spurian Spectator is a better paper. I feel that the Spectator keeps the people wanting for more while the DFC leaves a flat taste in my mouth.

Keep up the good work on the Spectator!

Can you print this in the Spectator? Morgaze I miss you.

Blister's Buzz

Old Man Milanden was seen in TSC proclaiming that his prophecy is coming true with the recent outbursts of the half-wraith, Serrina. The Old Man claimed that all non Psycian Psions were all, in fact, created by Taath and his minions as a curse to all. In the middle of his speech, a Human Psion who claims to be High Djinn'Ra, a head member of the mysterious Psion council rumored to have been around when mind powers were first developed, calmed him down and asked the Old Man to follow him. The Old Man hasn't been seen since.

Our reporter Darkpaw witnessed Silvery the Draco kneel before Sweetie (In the Firs for All flower shop) and claim fealty to her! He begged her to allow him to worship, and dedicated his soul and life to her. Is it just me, or is that odd?

Kassandra Shadowslinker, ex-thief, ex-Taathian, finally solved the mystery of the monstrous chest left by the Evolochian forces when their barges landed in Spur's harbor. Using a small key that she claimed afterward was given to her by a 'dear friend,' she unlocked the treasure chest, her Khat'sara Khatmandu standing agape at her side. She pulled out many small fire opals; some diamonds of various hues; a sack of coins that Darkpaw reported to be 50-75 gold, and many more treasures, at least enough to have paid the wages of all the forces of the Lords of Chaos stationed within and around Spur for another month. Kassandra was also seen leaving Tiffanny's jewel-shop with a large reinforced sack, bulging at the seams with coin. Sounds fishy to me...

Recently, a naked Hithual party was thrown by the naked Hithual and Sanene nudist society. The Sanene nudist society was quite upset when no naked Hithuals showed up. Although Lord Armonius and Lady Panick did make an appearance, we're quite sure they were clothed. The highlight of the evening was when Kraggon performed the Sacred Lobster Dance, again it is unconfirmed whether he was naked, by the gods I hope not...

The nude trends have been catching and Cleric has been seen running about TS with other Secians..all naked. If that wasn't enough, she proceeded to roll in the mud, still nude.

Narc has returned from Saldaea and is taking back the recitals from Changeman. He has vowed to reestablish all the rules the chaotic Changeman disbanded, and promises to wear pants to every recital.

With a mysterious crow as his messenger, Alchemist Alroch Stormcrow opened his shop and began brewing his potions for Spurians. In relation, Archmage Crow was seen in Saldaea shouting and cursing, "That darn San! I am the Lord Crow! Boy am I steamed!" We hope Crow won't follow in his brother's footsteps and turn to drinking...

In a possibly related event, a red crow's scorched carcass was seen lying outside of Abu's armor shop.

Even more related news, several Spurians have been searching for the ingredients that Alroch needs for his spells. Cleric Zangief recently collected a Psycian brain. Sweetie Niftyswift and Reason Valencia openly protested the brain and eventually stole many of Cleric's possessions and gave them back only in return for the brain.

Much to my surprise, I also saw Granil selling a Flerian finger! Hrmph! Well, us Flerians will have the last laugh, myself and Boxa are working on the mysterious blue-toe curse!

Sinsan the Draco, a Human named Daemon and an Odarian named Drekk, believed to be some form of deformed Leuian, saw fit to attack Spur's favorite little troublemaker, Guzzle Gru'kr, apparently in an attempt to get a few of his fingers for one of Mister Stormcrow's alchemical creations. Guzzle was aided by Taathians Daphnia and Felixim, and in fact the tables were turned and Sinsan only escaped with his life thanks to several healers.

One of our reporters who wishes to remain anonymous, has witnessed High Priestess of Evoloch, wife to Kbar, Sanene Kagee and LoC fanatic, Vollid enter the cottages on an almost routine basis. I think Kbar and Vollid should be introduced..

Gladiator and Guild ranker, Aros the Hithual was seen poor and naked after converting classes to Hand Cleric. The reporter and eyewitness has since been in bed, sick.

High Priest of Moloch, Sorvan Demesne has requested to join the Spurian Pride. Currently, he has been denied and angered many of the members and left them in conflict. I caught up with Sorvan (I had to remind him to do his chores) and asked him he had any statements, "If the Pride chooses to deny my entrance, they do so not because they know me and know that I am honorable, they do so because they fear what they do not fully understand and are not willing to understand." Are they questioning his honor or his religion?

The Thieves' Guild is also in a state of confusion as Sanene Felixim attempts to split the Guild in two, after the disgruntled San was denied the position of Guildmaster. So far, he has formed the Cloaked Circle. Although, we also hear he may be leaving Spur soon or pursuing the Sword Clerics guild.

A strange-colored Mandrake plant has been residing in the West woods lately. It arrived soon after a strange meteor crashed and left the crater, in which the plant sprouted out of. After that, it was seen gobbling up orks. The forester Kithrael was about fussing over the plant like a worried mother. This rare specimen was burnt like a biscuit by one of our smarter Leuians, Kougar!

Congratulations to Lunaris! She won the last Bardic recital and soon after she began to stage. Luckily, her Bondmate Glinka was nearby to assist. Look to the skies for her golden scales.

Top Fives
Blister

Well, we finally got them out, and thanks to those who voted! Please send in topics that you would like to see for the Top Fives. Send them here.

Most Heroic

1) Meqetlh
2) Stanrar
3) Jinood
4) Katze
5) Masher

Our Knights in shining armor clearly dominated this one. Sure, they make those mistakes here and there, and yes, sometimes they forget to feed you in jail. But, we can't forget the times they've valiantly gave their lives to fight off the enemy, and many of them stubbornly resisted the LoC even when defeat was clear.

Most fanatical follower & Cleric

1) Guzzle
2) Kagee
3) Vekkattraka
4) Oraculo
5) Kyrinne

Well, Guzzle just couldn't be left out once again, I just hope this attention doesn't get to his head. The shadier religions favored to be the more fanatical. Although, I should have clarified that some of the clerics can be fanatical in a good way. Our faithful High Priestess Kyrinne managed to sneak by, again in a good way.

Spur's favorite Merchant

1) Martinel
2) Sordum
3) Rehas
4) Murdach
5) Carmen and Delilah

Martinel will always be Spur's most popular merchant; he brings us the rare weapons, fancy durable armor, and anything else to equip us for battle! Who couldn't like Sordum? He started out as Rehas's apprentice and now you voted him the better Merchant! Not to forget Rehas, he's worked himself up to be one of the most influential persons in the world.

Sexiest Spurian

1) Avea
2) Konichiwa
3) Kassandra
4) Tygerlilli
5) Allandra

Spur's most sexy females is a combo of looks, attitude, and fashion! Sanene Avea took first place but may break a few hearts; we hear she's involved with Changeman. Konichiwa is single, but you may get more then you bargained for... Another heartbreak Kassandra Shadowslinker has been married for some time but still retains an attractive charm to many of Spur's bachelors.

Most charitable Spurian

1) Reason
2) Tygerlilli
3) Changeman
4) Callar
5) Tula

High Priestess Reason has given the Temple of Set a better, less shady image by helping the young and poor. There are even rumors of a new soup kitchen being opened. Tygerlilli is known to help many of her kyn and is generous with her money. Another representative of poverty, Changeman has fed the poor many times, and can be seen teaching the poorer, weaker characters how to weave baskets...

Rise of the Classes
Blister

My personal favorite, this week for Rise of the Classes we took the Runemages' Guild! There have been rumors among the Guild of Astral that tides are shifting and changing the very universe of magick they use. Whatever it is, its left a silence among the Guild, and there hasn't been much movement until now. The relatively new Frontacian, Lucianar has made a name for himself quickly, reaching up to the Top 10 rankings, the rest of the Top Fives is stubbornly held by the Frontacians, and Manick still holds #1, a combo of claws and runes, he's a force to be reckoned with...

Gladiator's Gossip
Gladiator Gus

The tension crackled through a packed house at the Spurian arena on Tuesday night for Tasem's regularly scheduled session of games. The big boss was there himself without any explanation about where he was last week.

For a change the evening started off on a cerebral level rather than the physical, as Guzzle gave a pronunciation lesson to the assembled crowd. It seems the Oog-Ra, Thrunk, was pronouncing the Lord of Nastiness's name incorrectly.

"It is Taaf not Taff ja idjit", Guzzle exclaimed passionately. Borus being of little brain and Ambertiger being of large girth were immediately intrigued as to the possibility of eating some of the taffy being spoken about. It was hard to tell which one was more disappointed to learn they were overhearing a discussion of a religious rather than culinary nature.

The real action started off with a team game. The five captains were Ambertiger, Caldron, Thug, Litorth and Frith. It was an unusually balanced endgame as most of the teams were unable to make it to center without significant losses. In the final it came down to Kmak, Liontu and Puss from team Thug taking on Vorach from team Litorth and Armonius from team Ambertiger. Perhaps not realizing the strong contingent left from team Thug, Vorach actually helped them kill off the resilient Armonius. Vorach than found himself on the wrong end of a spider and two good healing clerics with sleep spells. Kmak whose strong biting was the talk of the night, finished off Vorach with a sharp click of his mandibles for the victory.

The second and final game of the night was a four team emperor round-robin. Teams were captained by Lucke, Lucianar, Ambertiger, and Caldron. The first round match ups were Team Lucianar with Saryna, Vekka, Starman and others vs. Team Ambertiger with Nixtalis, Tarmit, Thug and others. The other contest pitted Team Caldron with Vorach, Kmak, Frith and others vs. Team Lucke with Borus, Santos, Gruber and others. Team's Caldron and Ambertiger won setting up the match that ended up being the decisive one in the second round. This match was perhaps over before it started as Vorach continued to have trouble with some sort of infestation on his person. He certainly needs a full time exterminator. Shalafi filled in well on team Caldron but they were unable to overcome the loss of one of their stars losing to a strong and coordinated assault by Team Ambertiger. With Vorach would the results have been different? The final rather anticlimactic round pitted Caldron's team Vs Lucianar's and Ambertiger's vs. Lucke's team. Ambertiger's team continued its dominance trouncing Lucke's team and finishing first overall while Caldron's team handled Lucianar's to take second.

Gladiator Gus's Stars of the Night:

1st Star Thug
2nd Star Nixtalis
3rd Star Kmak

Next week Tasem promised a full slate of games including some never seen before in the Spurian arena. This reporter is hoping for a new Killfest variation.
