Interview with Weldoian

Greetings, to all of you wonderful fans of interviews. And a similar greeting to those of you who just like to be greeted in print. This edition I caught up with someone most interesting, who turned out to be more interesting when you catch him than if you don't. I am talking about the one, the only, the possibly ancient, possibly Alarian, possibly none of these things.....Weldoian Celtus Sesca-oskaloq, here's what transpired as I abducted him from the middle of town square and probed his mind with several mind probing questions...

Greolin says in Secian, "Here is good, it's all nice and secluded "

Weldoian asks, "Where's this?"

Greolin says in Secian, "And doesn't appear to want to turn into a noisy pub anytime soon"

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "A secluded garden somewhere"

Weldoian exclaims, "Well, I see that!"

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "But you did ask"

Weldoian exclaims, "I was hoping there was more to it than the obvious!"

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "I dunno, it might be a Taathian temple cleverly disguised as a secluded garden "

Weldoian pointed to the white marble fountain.

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "But it seems to be a garden now so for the moment we are safe"

Weldoian asks, "See that? What Goddess is at the top of it?"

Weldoian says to Greolin, "I somehow doubt this is of Taath."

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "Yes well it would have to be a pretty good disguise "

Weldoian says to Greolin, "Indeed."

Greolin asks in Secian, "OK so now where were we?"

Weldoian says, "Why they would spend such elaborate workings on such a project is beyond me, however."

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "Yes, well most of what they do and why is beyond me"

Weldoian says, "I don't think they even know what they do."

At this point there was much commotion over the fact that Weldo's bear couldn't eat Junie, my Sylph companion. And Junie was alarmed to know it was a cause for commotion as it seemed perfectly reasonable to her....This prompted Weldo to scold and threaten to punish the bear.

Weldoian exclaims, "I'm joking, of course!"

Weldoian says in Secian, "My name is Weldoian Celtus Sesca-oskaloq."

Weldoian says in Secian, "Anyway...my name...my original name was Weldoian Celtus Sesca."

Greolin says in Secian, "And how did the last name come to change"

Weldoian says in Secian, "A long name in itself. I got the last addition to it after Paratwa Oskaloq agreed to adopt me as his son."

Weldoian says in Secian, "And that made my name that much longer..."

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "Was there any reasoning behind it or was it just done"

Weldoian asks in Secian, "Behind the name? Or the adoption?"

Weldoian says in Secian, "Anyway...when I was young, Paratwa was a very...colorful character in the Spurian community of the time."

Weldoian says in Secian, "Well, one day, after I recovered from a family crisis back home, I asked him to adopt me."

Weldoian asks Greolin in Secian, "How could you have known? You weren't about then, were you?"

Weldoian says in Secian, "In fact...I think I was still married to Rosi then..."

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "Maybe not then exactly but then relatively or something"

Weldoian says in Secian, "I'm pretty sure, actually."

Weldoian says to Greolin in Secian, "I'm sure you were alive, but I doubt you were in Spur then."

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "The past is so foggy sometimes..hardly matters at this point though"

Weldoian says to Greolin in Secian, "I know the feeling."

Weldoian says in Secian, "Anyway, I loved the Sesca lineage too much to just give up it's part in my name."

Weldoian says in Secian, "So, I went to the Barrister and asked to have the name Oskaloq added to my name, separated by a hyphen."

Greolin says in Secian, "Sounds perfectly sensible"

Weldoian says in Secian, "Thus, my name came to be...however...the "O" in Oskaloq is not capitalized..."

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "I was unaware you had been married to Rosi"

Weldoian says to Greolin in Secian, "At least you know of the girl I speak of."

Weldoian says in Secian, "'Fraid her name is slowly slipping into oblivion...as have many names I know."

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "I do remember vaguely you being bonded to a large Ego though"

Weldoian says in Secian, "Anyway...that was a long time ago...when I had just arrived in Spur."

Weldoian says in Secian, "Yes, well...evil things like to hide behind non suspicious measures."

Weldoian says in Secian, "Images, I mean."

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "Yes most definitely so"

Weldoian says in Secian, "Anyway...the night before Bizriel staged, Aeslyn hosted a ball of sorts, I think."

Weldoian says in Secian, "I felt tired, and Aeslyn let me use one of her rooms for the night."

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "The best ones are always the ones you don't remember afterward"

Weldoian says in Secian, "I woke with a start the next day, with my kyn yelling for me."

Weldoian says in Secian, "Bizriel had begun to stage. He was already at the Lair, awaiting my arrival."

Weldoian says in Secian, "Naturally, I was ecstatic, nervous, anxious, scared, overjoyed..."

Weldoian exclaims in Secian, "I could go on, but won't. Anyway. I tried to get out, and the door was locked!"

Weldoian exclaims in Secian, "The way out was locked, and only two people had the key! Aeslyn and her Bond, Carron."

Weldoian says in Secian, "And neither could be found...probably off sleeping in some secluded garden...mayhaps even this exact one."

Weldoian says in Secian, "Anyway, all other doors were locked, as well, so I had no other possible way of getting out."

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "Hrrm or mayhaps sleeping in a temple of Taath disguised as a secluded garden"

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "Like this one"

Weldoian says in Secian, "I was a nervous wreck, as you could imagine. I was shrieking over the link, screaming my voice hoarse in the house."

Weldoian says in Secian, "Until eventually...in a time of maybe 10 minutes, when a thief..whom I am forever grateful to, unlocked the door and let me free."

Weldoian exclaims in Secian, "I'll tell you! That 10 minutes were like an eternity of torture!"

Greolin says in Secian, "And you went on to stage Bizzy though"

Weldoian says in Secian, "Obviously."

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "Did he really turn pink for a moment"

Weldoian says in Secian, "You know...I don't exactly remember the staging itself very well...a"

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "Kinda like a good party"

Weldoian says in Secian, "I was a nervous wreck...my memory was pretty much jarbled, save for the incident of the house."

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "You know it happened but all the details are fuzzy "

Weldoian says in Secian, "Pretty much."

Weldoian says in Secian, "I do remember watching the staging itself, though."

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "And usually the better the party the less you remember"

Weldoian says in Secian, "Watching Bizzy's form change into the form of a Drake, and his scales turning that beautiful Sapphire..."

Weldoian says in Secian, "Excuse me..."

A look of sadness crossed his face then.

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "On to rumor squelching"

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "Is it or is it not true that you are secretly an Alarian"

Weldoian exclaims in Secian, "That is definitely not true! I intend to stop that rumor barely before it has started!"

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "So why all the fascination with Alarians"

Weldoian says in Secian, "The are only three Alarians I know to this date...and I suspect another to be one."

Weldoian exclaims in Secian, "None of those people are me!"

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "You seem to run around screaming about them a lot"

Weldoian asks in Secian, "Could you rephrase your question?"

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "But if they are Alarians they could become you ya know"

Weldoian says to Greolin in Secian, "No...only if they eat me."

Weldoian says in Secian, "Alarians can only assume the bodies of the people they consume."

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "How would you know they hadn't"

Weldoian says in Secian, "Because the person they eat dies the permanent death."

Weldoian says in Secian, "The consciousness of the victim is no more."

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "So who are the evil Alarians that lurk among us"

Greolin says in Secian, "Besides you of course"

Weldoian exclaims to Greolin in Secian, "I am NOT an Alarian!"

Greolin asks Weldoian in Secian, "Wouldn't you say that if you were one?"

Weldoian exclaims in Secian, "True, but you see...BAH! I don't have time to teach you the ways of uncovering Alarians!"

Greolin asks Weldoian in Secian, "So who have you uncovered?"

Weldoian says in Secian, "The Alarians I know of are Aliyah, Rictor, and Glinka."

Weldoian says in Secian, "I am on the track of uncovering another, I believe."

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "Odd cause Glinka was the one that brought it to my attention that you were an Alarian"

Weldoian says in Secian, "You'll understand when I say I can't reveal the "identity" of this Alarian...lest it evades my tracking skills."

Weldoian says to Greolin in Secian, "She admits herself she was born from an Alarian."

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "Of course...then it would obviously know you were on to it"

Weldoian says to Greolin in Secian, "I am one of the VERY few who can uncover Alarians...not as quickly as some that can, mind you, but I can."

Weldoian says in Secian, "That is what Alarians fear. "

Greolin asks Weldoian in Secian, "Any tips you can give us on uncovering Alarians?"

Weldoian says in Secian, "First, let me say that the Alarians are trying to avert the attention from them to me."

Weldoian asks in Secian, "What better way to stay in hiding? A light destroys a shadow, the place people hide in."

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "Like by putting you in the spotlight instead of them"

Weldoian says in Secian, "Take away the light, more shadow."

Weldoian says to Greolin in Secian, "Exactly."

Greolin asks Weldoian in Secian, "So giving you an interview is something an Alarian might do then?"

At this point some commotion caused us to go to Town Square for apparently no reason. It was then posed that Taathians had better things to do with their time than build secluded gardens with which to cover up hidden temples, and these things included random violence and murder. I then posed the question "which would be more frightening to you coming from a Taathian" which ended the debate rather quickly. after some time we returned to the interview.

Greolin says in Secian, "Oh yes we were discussing the fact that you were or were not an Alarian"

Weldoian exclaims in Secian, "I AM not!!"

Weldoian exclaims in Secian, "And then, of course, no one would pay attention to any of my warnings about them!"

Weldoian says in Secian, "Evil usually does for the majority of the battle...then good steps forward and blasts them down."

Weldoian asks in Secian, "No?"

Greolin says in Secian, "Most likely "

Greolin says in Secian, "Though not entirely unlikely either"

Weldoian says in Secian, "This situation is very much similar."

Greolin asks in Secian, "Oh?"

Weldoian says in Secian, "I could allude to the LoC war, but...let's not."

Greolin says in Secian, "OK then we won't"

Greolin says in Secian, "How about this new cult that sprung up all of a sudden"

Weldoian says in Secian, "I...really don't remember exactly."

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "So it came about at a party then"

Weldoian says to Greolin in Secian, "I don't think there was much substance behind it...just one of my whims, I suppose."

Here the Sylph left to prevent being eaten and the bear left to apologize to the Sylph for wanting to eat it...they did so as not to interrupt the interview, but failed at that miserably.

Weldoian exclaims in Secian, "She's so incorrigible!"

Weldoian asks in Secian, "Anyways....where were we?"

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "I believe we were talking about your mindless cult of Alarians"

Weldoian exclaims to Greolin in Secian, "Not of Alarians!! Get it straight! Why would Alarians follow me when I'm off telling everyone of their evil plans?"

Weldoian exclaims in Secian, "And Zackie is nae an Alarian!"

Greolin asks Weldoian in Secian, "To throw people off who thought they were Alarians?"

Weldoian exclaims in Secian, "I wouldn't LET them follow me! They can't be trusted!"

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "But what if they insisted really politely"

Weldoian says in Secian, "They'd have to agree to the conditions."

Greolin asks Weldoian in Secian, "What conditions?"

Weldoian says in Secian, "They'd have to mindless, will-less people completely under my entire control."

Weldoian says in Secian, "They would do only what I told them do and say only what I wanted them to say."

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "Hrrm not likely they would though...pity"

Weldoian says in Secian, "Yes, well. Not all are as enlightened as some."

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "Would have solved the Alarian problem if they had though"

Weldoian exclaims in Secian, "Indeed!"

At this point I bored Weldo into unconsiousnes briefly by describing my research technique, which was anything but boring...but most likely boring to hear about...here is what happened when he returned

Weldoian exclaims in Secian, "Sorry about blacking out like that!"

Weldoian says in Secian, "It's past my bedtime."

Greolin asks in Secian, "What was the last thing I said to you before you left?"

Weldoian says in Secian, "I don't remember."

Greolin says in Secian, "OK then it must not have been important"

Weldoian says in Secian, "Oh, everything is important..."

Weldoian exclaims in Secian, "Ah!"

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "Either that or nothing is unimportant"

Weldoian exclaims in Secian, "We had made the conclusion that it would be easier if all Alarians mindlessly followed me!"

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "So we had"

Weldoian says in Secian, "But, alas, that would lead to accusations that I held them against their will, and...that would be trouble."

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "And of course if they had wills they wouldn't be following you"

Weldoian exclaims in Secian, "Well, they HAD wills. They would just have given them to me. But anyways!"

Greolin says in Secian, "Well I can't think of anything profound or witty to say"

Weldoian asks Greolin in Secian, "When have you had anything profound or witty to say?"

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "Is there anything important that I may have missed in my thorough research"

Weldoian says to Greolin in Secian, "You've missed big chunks...which leads me to think you didn't do much research beyond hearsay."

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "Well most research involves sitting at bars and ordering vast amounts or mind numbing drinks"

Weldoian says in Secian, "Especially the most nastiest rumor surrounding myself."

Weldoian says in Secian, "In Drag-al terms, I suppose it does."

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "And bars are exactly the place you are most likely to hear those sort of rumors"

Weldoian exclaims in Secian, "Yes, well...evidently you have heard the nastiest one about me. Which is a good thing!"

Greolin asks Weldoian in Secian, "And what is it?"

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "Not the one that your the Oldest Spurian"

Weldoian says in Secian, "So you have heard of it..."

Weldoian exclaims in Secian, "I was a bit shocked when I thought you hadn't. Most of the city has!"

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "No Milanden looks a couple years older than you"

Weldoian exclaims in Secian, "Because he is!"

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "And a few of the Drakes and Dragons..."

Weldoian says in Secian, "Only Michael'a and Acinonyx'a, I believe..."

Weldoian exclaims in Secian, "But, I'm discovering more and more truth all the time. I am FAR from being the oldest Spurian!"

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "Well oldest Secian might be more accurate"

Weldoian says in Secian, "I was just about to say that."

Weldoian exclaims in Secian, "And even THAT may not be true!"

Greolin says in Secian, "I find when I wake that usually I am the oldest Drag-al around and you are a bit older than I"

Weldoian exclaims in Secian, "I will tell you, though, that my being voting oldest Spurian was fixed. I'm more than sure that the majority of the votes for me were from my kyn...trying to spite me!"

Weldoian says to Greolin in Secian, "Quite a bit, in fact."

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "Odd thing Secians trying to spite"

Weldoian says in Secian, "Yes well...spite is probably too harsh a word."

Greolin asks Weldoian in Secian, "Maybe more Alarians?"

Weldoian says in Secian, "They get perverted pleasure from teasing me about my supposed age."

Weldoian says in Secian, "Nah...most aren't. Some are."

Weldoian says in Secian, "Only two, actually. Maybe three, but I don't know yet."

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "Ya said three maybe four before"

Weldoian says in Secian, "Three maybe four Alarians...not Alarians in Secian form."

Greolin says in Secian, "Ahh ok so the one yer tracking is in Secian form now"

Weldoian exclaims in Secian, "Shhh!"

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "Of course I am not saying this to warn any Alarians that may be Secians that you are on to them"

Weldoian exclaims in Secian, "Yeah, sure!"

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "And of course it will be printed this way so they now that I'm not"

Weldoian says in Secian, "Anyway...my kyn are polluting our younger kyn with the nasty rumor that I'm the oldest person alive, when I'm really not."

Greolin says in Secian, "Yes well I suppose you want to stave off the rumors then"

Weldoian exclaims in Secian, "They say I need medicine! A rocking chair! A residence at an old folk's home!"

Weldoian asks in Secian, "Have you HEARD anything more ridiculous?"

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "Medicine is arguable but the others are pure rubbish"

Weldoian exclaims in Secian, "They say I sometimes need spectacles!"

Weldoian exclaims to Greolin in Secian, "I do NOT need medication!"

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "I never said you did"

Weldoian exclaims to Greolin in Secian, "You darn well hinted at it!"

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "I said it was arguable which is like saying maybe when someone asks you what three plus five is"

Inexplicably the subject of ale came up. I guess the old wives tale about putting a Drag-al in a room for any length of time will inadvertently make him speak of ale, parties, or which was the best ale to be had at parties, or who threw the best parties to find such ale at....

Weldoian says in Secian, "'Course...it's been awhile since I've had any ale.."

Weldoian says in Secian, "I do so get chastised for drinking it."

Greolin says in Secian, "Me too...it's been almost 4 hours...goodness"

Weldoian says to Greolin in Secian, "I haven't drank ale in...almost...4 months, I think."

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "Looks like a perfect time to wrap up and pop away for now"

Weldoian exclaims to Greolin in Secian, "But when I do...my kyn yells at me....a lot!"

Weldoian says in Secian, "If you want."

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "Mine does too...mostly for not sharing though"

Weldoian says to Greolin in Secian, "I think mine just doesn't like the way I get."

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "Yes thank you for coming and answering all my well thought out and not in the least bit made up on the fly questions"

Weldoian exclaims in Secian, "Oh, I'm sure they took HOURS to come up with!"

Greolin says to Weldoian in Secian, "Many many hours...of hard research"

And with that, I bid Weldo a good evening, headed as quickly as I could to the Rose Eternal Tavern, and proceeded to interview a rather large family of quite full ale Mugs that had recently taken residence on the counter in front of me, and then so as not to be rude I interviewed a few of their neighbors and their neighbors pet that happened to be a rather odd tasting shot of something or other, it was some of my best work as an interviewer....Sadly however I couldn't remember a bit of it when I woke up the next morning. But luckily I remembered all the stuff the big W told me and so I left it here for you all to see, Is he an Alarian? Is he Just Really old? Or is he just some Secian with a weird cult named after him?...Again I leave this up to you, the readers, to decide.
