The heart of Chaos stirs the city of Spur once again. Two paintings, one
of Kane and the other of Dominic, were stolen from the Temple of Taath recently. They were subsequently
sold to the thieves merchant at the Little Sister shop. The question is who stole them? The Setites,
specifically the San Elf Rylek Grey, have been blamed for the theft by some Taathians. Other Taathians,
some of whom await their Inquisitor, prefer to withhold cutthroat relations with the Setites until further
evidence has been found. Balor Mrykrydia remains elusive, and the followers of Taath have become restless,
one or two of them seeking to usurp the position of Inquisitor themselves during this time of crisis.
The missing paintings were discovered by Laston the Leuian and Mildain the Hithual. Mildain apparently
claimed that an unidentified informant saw a 5'10 San Elf sell the paintings in the Little Sisters Shop.
The accusations against Rylek are allegedly based on the physical similarities in height between what
the informant described and Rylek himself, who happens to be 5'10 and a highly skilled thief by profession.
When I spoke with Rylek this evening he said, "Mildain has tried to set me up before to get his temple
to fight his battles." He added, "This is nothing more than an ignorant Hithual taking advantage of a
situation for his own personal gain. That is how I got thrown into this mess. I have some ideas as to
who the real thief is too."
Rylek named Kyntavis and Kyundo as suspect to the robbery, saying that he
"Plans to speak with the owners of the shop the portraits were sold at. I've had no luck so far though".
Kyntavis Onyx, a Taathian San Elf Cleric said, "We work the service of Taath, we demand the return of
the holy relics, the portraits."
Leyara Rin had a chance to speak with Laston the Leuian and Kyntavis Onyx.
Kyntavis stated that "He will not have a Taathian pay to have them (the paintings) back. We will have them
returned."
Laston the Leuian claimed that a Goblin-al informant "With limited intellect."
Told him that a group of six stole the paintings. One was a tall San with a silver sword and another was an
Arachnid. All of them, he said, wore serpent charms. Kyntavis added, "I hear he matches the description of
someone I know. 5'10 or so. Must be a rather daring fellow indeed." He finished by declaring, "For every
Setite we kill, it proves to the others that we are not for negotiations. We are for action, and will do
so against anyone who dares perform an act against Taath Triumphant."
Who was the Go-blin-al informant? How likely is it that he was being truthful
to Laston? This would most likely figure in as key evidence. If anyone has information on this unidentified
informant, please contact Leyara or I through scroll or find either of us in the city.
